Melbourne CBD – 538 Collins Street

Our dental clinic at 538 Collins Street in Melbourne CBD opened its doors in September 2006. It was the third location in the successful d-spa portfolio, following our other Melbourne clinics.

Like our other d-spa locations, 538 Collins Street is designed to offer a soothing escape from the bustle of the CBD. Relaxing music and essential aromatherapies help our patients to kick back and relax before their appointments, and our attentive staff are here to answer any questions or concerns you might have.

We’re just a short walk from Southern Cross Station and tram stations, with ample on-street parking.

Meet our team

Find out more about our talented dentists, hygienists and oral health therapists at 538 Collins Street.

Dr Douglas McKinlay, Dentist

Dr McKinlay graduated from Glasgow University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. He then went on to complete a Member of Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons in 2013. We were lucky enough to capture Dr McKinlay’s heart here in Melbourne, where he’s been a great asset to our d-spa team since September 2015.

Dr McKinlay has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and endodontics, but above all enjoys helping people be healthier and improve their quality of life. In his free time he’s a keen cyclist, enjoys watching sport, attending art exhibitions and keeping fit at the gym. He credits Melbourne with a great food scene and enjoys eating out at local restaurants. If he had to choose a favourite travel destination, it would be Singapore.

Dr Su Ng, Dentist

Dr Su Ng graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland in 2010. She always wanted to have a hands-on career where she would be able to interact with people on a daily basis which led her to dentistry. Her main working interest lies in sleep dentistry especially the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea with oral devices.

Her goal is change patients’ perception of oral health and help them understand that it’s never too late to start with oral health care. She spends her free time reading and exploring the Melbourne food scene.

Stephanie Chang, Oral Health Therapist and Dental Hygienist

Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Melbourne in 2012. Dividing her time between two of our clinics – working twice a week at 538 Collins Street and twice a week at South Yarra – Stephanie is a valued member of the d-spa family, advising patients on how to maintain optimal oral health.

Stephanie is an accomplished musician who plays both the piano and guitar (she also has the voice of an angel, if you’d like to know our opinion). When she’s not busy being musical, Stephanie can be found getting active by swimming, running and cycling.

Emma Cubis, Oral Health Therapist and Dental Hygienist

Emma joined us at d-spa after graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2013 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She enjoys meeting people and building trust and rapport to help her patients understand the importance of oral health, especially when she feels she can make the dental experience a fun one for children.

Emma embraces d-spa’s vision of providing holistic, gentle and comfortable treatments with a strong emphasis on preventive dentistry. Outside of d-spa, you’ll find Emma enjoying brunch out, keeping active at the gym or planning her next travel adventure. Her favourite destination is Hawaii.

Kelly Madrusan, Practice Manager

After completing her Advanced Diploma in Business (Advertising) at Swinburne University, Kelly was motivated to enter the dental industry after seeing how much a friend enjoyed her dental traineeship. This inspired Kelly to enrol in a Certificate III in Dental Assisting at RMIT, and she was welcomed into the d-spa fold in 2009.

Known for her bubbly personality, Kelly is the friendly first point of contact for everyone visiting our 538 Collins Street clinic. With her warm and easygoing nature, Kelly helps patients to feel welcome and comfortable, making the dental environment less intimidating. Away from work, Kelly enjoys travelling to new destinations and is an avid cook who loves whipping up culinary delights for her family and friends.
